Sender for controlling appliances and lights, that are plugged into the
Marmitek X10 modules, through the existing house wiring.
Automatically switches all lights (on or flashing) in case of alarm, without
running any extra wires. Switch appliances and lights from every location
in your home without extra cables.
Virtually anything which gives, or can be made to give, can be used to "trigger"
the SM10: contact closure (relays, switch of alarm keypad), but also any
voltage between 6 and 18 (e.g. doorbell transformer or amplified audio signal).
The interface can be set to three modes.
- In Mode 1 it sends ALL LIGHTS ON to the same House Code and a regular ON
(to operate appliances) to the same Unit Code that the interface is set
to. When contacts are opened it sends an OFF to the same Unit Code but leaves
the rest of the lights on.

In Mode 2 it sends a flashing ALL LIGHTS ON/ALL OFF signal and leaves the
lights ON after the contacts are opened.
- In Mode 3, which is the mode that
will be most used for non-security type applications, the interface sends
an ON only to the same House and Unit Code. When the contacts are opened
it sends an OFF to the same House and Unit Code.

- Flash all the lights in your home when your existing burglar alarm is
tripped.
- … Blast your stereo when your alarm trips.
- … Connect the Burglar Alarm Interface directly to a magnetic switch to turn on lights when a door or window opens, i.e. you don't have to own a burglar alarm system.
- … Trigger it from sensors such as a photo cell to turn on lights when it gets dark.
- … From a motion detector to turn on lights when someone enters a room.
- … From a microphone to turn on lights or appliances when a sound from an intruder is detected.
- … From a moisture sensor to sound an alarm if your basement is flooded.
- … From a garage door opener to turn on lights when you open your garage door, etc
