Features InControl is a unique system that lets you remotely control and monitor your domestic electrical appliances, view and listen to realtime streaming audio and video and it even acts as a sophisticated home security system capable of sending alarm information from your home direct to your mobile phone or email via the Internet. InControl lets you check on your home from anywhere in the world via the Internet. Whether you're half a mile down the road or half way across the world, InControl lets you dial into your home and view realtime streaming video from up to eight individual monochrome or full colour (CCTV) cameras connected to an InControl transmitter hub. Built into the low-cost InControl (CCTV) cameras are ultra-sensitive microphones that will let you listen in on your home from across the Internet. And - because InControl runs across the net - dialling into your home will normally cost you no more than the price of a local phone call regardless of where you are in the world! Take control with the latest Home Automation Technology The system also lets you control domestic appliances within your home using low-cost home automation modules. Most electrical device can be controlled simply by connecting an appliance module between the mains outlet and the device you wish to control. What's more - because the modules run across the mains supply - wiring is virtually non-existent making installation a breeze! Receive alarm notification via your mobile phone and e-mail InControl helps you protect your home 24-hour a day, 7 days a week using PIR (Passive Infra-red) sensors built into the low cost InControl CCTV cameras and powerful video motion detection (VMD) technology. In addition, the InControl Transmitter supports an optional 'break out' panel that allow conventional alarm sensors and outputs to be connected to the system. In the event of an alarm condition occurring (such as an attempted break in), the system can be configured to 'dial out' to the InControl Server which will then alert you or a designated key holder of the incident using either a mobile phone SMS text message and email. The InControl system consists of an InControl Transmitter and an InControl Receiver. These two components work together with the InControl Server via standard domestic telephone lines and the Internet to provide home automation control, realtime streaming video and audio plus 24-hours a day, 7-days a week security monitoring of your home. The InControl Transmitter This is the bit that is installed within your home. Consisting of a small 'black box' that connects to a Windows 98/ME/XP-based personal computer, the InControl transmitter acts as a hub for up to eight composite video cameras, eight microphones, 256 home automation modules and a range of alarm sensors and output devices. Bundled with the InControl transmitter is a powerful software program that runs on the host PC. The transmitter software controls the functions of the transmitter hub to enable it to switch between cameras, monitor alarm activity and so on. In addition, the PC's own modem or ISDN terminal adaptor is used to connect the transmitter to the Internet.
